Climate Club

On November 7, 2023, the ICLRC organized a meeting of the Climate Club chaired by Ruslan Edelgeriev, Head of the Russian Delegation at COP28.

The meeting was dedicated to the preparation for the main climate event of the year — COP28, which will be held from November 30 to December 12, 2023 in Dubai.  

The participants discussed the UAE Presidentship's initiatives and the key issues of the COP28 agenda, namely, the Global stocktake (evaluation of the Paris Agreement implementation and achieved goals). The discussion focused on the preparations for the negotiations and the expected outcomes of the COP28, as well as possible instruments to achieve climate goals, including nature-based solutions.
