Alfredo Crosato Neumann
Alfredo Crosato Neumann, from Peru, is Associate Professor and Head of the International Law Department of the Law Faculty at Kadir Has University, Istanbul. He holds a Master and PhD in international law from the Geneva Graduate Institute, where he also worked as lecturer in international dispute settlement and teaching assistant.
He regularly advises and represents States and other entities on international law matters, including in cases before the International Court of Justice, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, the Permanent Court of Arbitration, and the International Criminal Court.
His research interests and expertise cover various areas of international law, including the sources of international law, State responsibility, the law of the sea, immunities, territorial and maritime delimitation disputes, environmental law, and the peaceful dispute settlement of disputes. His PhD thesis on the principle of res judicata in international law will be published as a book in early 2025.
