National Jurisdiction and UNCLOS. Courses of the Summer School on Public International Law
This volume contains lecture materials by Roman Kolodkin, Judge of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, delivered as part of the 2019 Summer School on Public International Law. The lectures address national jurisdiction in maritime spaces within the framework of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). They cover national jurisdiction in areas under state sovereignty (territorial sea and internal waters), in the high seas, as well as in zones where coastal states exercise sovereign rights (the contiguous zone, the exclusive economic zone, and the continental shelf).
