Dr. Xuexia Liao is assistant professor at Peking University Law School, Beijing. She holds a Ph.D. diploma from Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva (2018) and Diploma of Hague Academy of International Law (2016). Her research interests include maritime delimitation, the continental shelf regime, and international dispute settlement. She is author of The Continental Shelf Delimitation beyond 200 Nautical Miles: Towards a Common Approach to Maritime Boundary-Making (CUP 2021) and a number of research articles published by Leiden Journal of International Law, Ocean Development & International Law, and International Journal of Marine and Coastal Law. She also contributes to Max Planck Encyclopedia of Public International Law and serves on the editorial board of Chinese Journal of Environmental Law.
