Ksenia Shestakova
Ksenia has over 15 years of teaching experience. She has developed and teaches courses on international law, including a general course on international law for Bachelor's degree, a problem-oriented general course for Master's degree, a course on the law of international organisations, and supervises the writing of Master's and PhD theses.
Ksenia's research interests include the theory and history of international law, international space law, international maritime law, international environmental law, international protection of cultural property, peaceful settlement of disputes and international humanitarian law.
Ksenia is one of the authors of the collective monograph "Women's Portraits in International Law: New Names or Forgotten Faces?", which was awarded the 2024 ASIL Certificate of Merit for a Preeminent Contribution to Creative Scholarship. It is also an integral part of her undergraduate course “International Law Theory”.
