TCFD recommendations: What has changed in five years and what are the prospects for Russia
On December 8, 2022, the ICLRC and the European University at St. Petersburg held an online event “TCFD Recommendations: What has changed in five years and what are the prospects for Russia” in the framework of the Clean Energy Forum.
The autumn was full of milestone events in the field of ESG and climate change. In the middle of October 2022, the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) released the Report which summarized the five years period of recommendations.
A month later, at the end of November, the EU Council finally approved the Сorporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). According to the new requirements, companies will have to report on a wide range of issues, including climate change.
In November, also the UN Climate Change Conference (COP-27) ended in Egypt. The Russian delegation and the ICLRC’s team took part in that conference.
At the online meeting representatives of business, academia, and the legal community discussed how all those events affect Russia.
