On September 7, in the ICLRC, a closed meeting of the Climate Club chaired by Ruslan Edelgeriev, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Climate Issues, was held.
The meeting was dedicated to the topic “Climate Agenda of the EAEU countries: Risks and Opportunities”.
The ICLRC’s experts introduced the research “Carbon regulation infrastructure of the EAEU member States and their main international partners”.
The participants discussed peculiarities of national EAEU member states regulation in combating climate change; existing barriers, restrictions and risks for Russian business in the EAEU caused by climate regulation of the EAEU member states. They also discussed prospects and opportunities for developing harmonized approaches to regulating climate agenda issues within the EAEU and between individual interested EAEU member states.
