Dr. Emmanuelle Cohen-Shacham is a consultant, researcher and group lead, working at the interface between science, policy and practice, on nature conservation and environmental sciences and policy projects.

Emmanuelle leads the Thematic Group on Nature-based Solutions (NbS), at the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management. She has been co-leading the work on NbS at IUCN since 2014, and is the lead author of several NbS publications. She holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Sciences from Wageningen University, the Netherlands, and her Ph.D. from Tel-Aviv University, Israel, focusing on ecosystem services and ecosystem management in Mediterranean wetlands.
