Andrey Bougrov
Graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), PhD in Economics. In 1976 – 1979 he was a Lecturer, Deputy Dean of MGIMO. Since 1977, he worked for 14 years at the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 1991 - 1993, he served as Advisor to the President at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. In 1993 - 2002 - Permanent Representative of Russia, Executive Director of the Boards of Directors at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank), the International Development Agency, the International Finance Corporation, and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency, Washington, DC, USA.
Since 2002, he has held a number of executive positions and is currently Vice President of Interros Holding Company.
2002 — 2020 — Member of the Board of Directors at MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC (MMC Norilsk Nickel OJSC until 1 June 2015). 2011 — 2013 — Chairman of the Board of Directors at MMC Norilsk Nickel.
He has held senior management positions since 2013 and has been - Senior Vice President for Sustainable Development, PJSC 'MMC 'Norilsk Nickel' since 2020.
Currently a member of the Board of Directors at Inter RAO UES PJSC, member of the Expert Council on Corporate Governance at the Bank of Russia, Chairman of the Issuer Committee at the Moscow Exchange; Vice President, Chairman of the Council on Non-Financial Reporting at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
Member of the Bretton Woods Committee’s International Council, the non-governmental Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, the Business Council at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Expert Committee of the Russian Presidential Anti-Corruption Directorate, the Non-Profit Partnership National Council on Corporate Governance, and the Advisory Council at the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce.
Since 2020 Head of the Expert Group for Corporate Governance, Special Administrative Districts, Bankruptcy Proceedings and Valuation at the Russian Ministry of Economic Development.
