The ICLRC invites graduate and undergraduate students to participate in a paid internship program in public international law

Who we are looking for

You are a graduate or undergraduate student of the 4th year and older in the field of law, specializing in public international law.

The area of your research and professional interests:

  • law of treaties
  • law of international organizations
  • immunities in international law
  • law of the sea
  • international environmental law
  • international trade and investment, investors-states dispute settlement
  • law of regional integration, Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)
  • international justice.

You speak English at the level required for fluent work with international publications (at least B2), and also speak and write fluently in Russian.

Experience in writing academic and research papers, as well as organizing educational events, will be an additional advantage.

Among the tasks

Analyzing the international legal framework

Monitoring and reviewing international practice

Participation in preparation of analytical materials

Assistance in seminars and educational projects

What you get out of an internship

Practical experience in a research organization under the supervision of lawyers with extensive expertise in international law.

Modest remuneration (to be discussed individually, depending on the level of competence).

Flexible schedule with the possibility of working remotely for 1-3 months. The start date of the internship is negotiated individually.

Diverse tasks and access to the unique international law library.
