International Carbon and ESG Ratings

Currently, companies are increasingly taking ESG factors into account in their operations. To a large extent, this trend is set by investors who are interested in sustainable investments and pay attention not only to a company’s financial results, but also to sustainability indicators. Carbon and ESG ratings are those instruments that help to measure and assess the climate risks of companies directly affecting the climate.

The ICLRC’s experts prepared a review of the most widespread international ratings (in Russian). The review also contains different types of ratings, their specific approaches to collecting and analyzing information, and risk assessment criteria.
