Climate Bulletin. Issue 40 (in Russian)
In the 40th issue of the Climate Bulletin, the authors examine key trends in climate regulation and markets in early 2026, including how China is building a “low-carbon future” through product carbon-footprint standards and the introduction of a national climate-disclosure standard based on the principle of “double materiality”. A separate piece looks at the sharp increase in fees for negative environmental impact in Russia. Among other topics are diverging energy-transition pathways (Australia’s growing share of renewables, China’s expansion of coal capacity, and US investment in nuclear power), as well as developments in “sustainable” finance—from outflows from ESG funds to record investment in clean energy.
The Climate Bulletin is a collection of analytical articles on sustainable development. It is prepared by the team of Gazprombank’s Center for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Principles with contributions from authors of the International and Comparative Law Research Center and invited experts.
