Public Talk with Jasmine Moussa

On 12 August 2026, at 18:00, the International and Comparative Law Research Center will organize a public talk with Dr Jasmine Moussa, Minister Plenipotentiary and Legal Counsel at the Cabinet of Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. The event will be held as part of the ICLRC’s Women of International Law project.

Women of International Law is the initiative of the ICLRC aiming to highlight the journeys and insights of distinguished women in the field, offering encouragement and practical guidance to the next generation of female international lawyers.

Dr Moussa is a Member of the Permanent Court of Arbitration and President of the Egypt Chapter of the International Law Association. She has acted for Egypt in cases before international courts, including the International Court of Justice and the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.

During the public talk, Dr Moussa will share reflections on her professional journey in public international law, her experience in representing Egypt’s legal positions on the international stage, and women’s careers in international law. The conversation will also address the importance of education and professional communities and advice for young lawyers pursuing careers in the field.

The event will be held in a hybrid format and will include a Q&A session with the audience.
