A gift to our library from Saint Petersburg
Colleagues from the Department of International Law of the Faculty of Law of St Petersburg State University donated two books by Vitaly Ivanenko, Associate Professor, Candidate of Law, winner of the F. F. Martens Prize, who passed away in June 2024, to the Center's library.
These are the third, considerably enlarged edition of “The Saint Petersburg School of International Law: The Place and Role of St. Petersburg University, Its Scholars and Graduates in the Formation and Development of International Law Scholarship and Practice. Vol. 1 (1720-s – 1920-s)” monograph, as well as “The Saint Petersburg School of International Law: A Bio-Bibliographical Study (Petrine Russia to the 1920s)” co-authored with William Butler, published in the USA.
This encyclopaedic treatise is truly unique, as it is the fruit of more than 20 years of research in archives and scientific libraries. The thematic bibliography of the identified and systematised papers of scientists and graduates of St Petersburg (Petrograd) University consists of 1,500 titles.
You may follow new acquisitions on our website and get acquainted with them in the reading room.
See you in the Center's library!
