Andrey Bayda is Vice President for ESG at State Development Corporation VEB.RF, Russia's development bank ($53 billion in assets, $20 billion loan portfolio). He is also leader of the Russian national taskforce for green finance and does work with the Russian government on carbon pricing, emissions trading and Net Zero 2060 transition pathways. Andrey is also in charge of large-scale ESG transformation of the bank. Before assuming his ESG leadership role, Andrey led transformation of Risk function at VEB.RF.
Prior to his work for the development bank, Andrey was a Junior Partner with McKinsey & Company. He has extensive experience working with financial institutions across former Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and Mediterranean on risk management, strategy and operations. Andrey holds an MBA degree from Columbia Business School.
