Gabriela Belova – Doctor of Law, Professor of International and European Law at South-West University “Neofit Rilski” (Bulgaria), Dean of the Faculty of Law and History, and Head of the Department of International Law and International Relations. She is a member of the Group of Independent Experts within the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. Between 2020 and 2025, she served as an alternate member of the Management Board of the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA).
She received her legal education at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and obtained an LLM from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. She has been a visiting lecturer at universities in Poland, Greece, and Kazakhstan. She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of International Law and the Bulgarian Association of European Law. She serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal International Politics published by South-West University and as a member of the editorial board of the journal Actual Problems of Russian Law.
Her research interests include the process of European integration and the development of European institutions, human rights issues, as well as the work of the World Health Organization. She is the author of several monographs and numerous scholarly articles.
