Ivan Zinovich

Ivan Zinovich is a lawyer specialising in international investment and commercial arbitration, as well as cross-border litigation in Russia and abroad.

Since 2025, Ivan has been working as an independent consultant; prior to that, he spent more than five years in Russian law firms. In his practice, Ivan has handled disputes and advised clients on case strategy, including projects involving the setting aside and enforcement of arbitral awards, parallel arbitral proceedings, and the preparation of expert opinions.

Ivan has experience with leading arbitration rules, including ICSID, SCC and UNCITRAL, as well as the Russian Arbitration Center (RAC) and the Arbitration Center at the RSPP. He has worked on matters relating to international supply contracts (including transactions governed by English law, Swedish law and the 1980 Vienna Convention), jurisdiction under investment treaties, Western sanctions regimes, and corporate and banking disputes.

Ivan holds an LL.M. in Private Law and is a PhD candidate at the Russian School of Private Law. He is fluent in English (C1) and has an upper-intermediate level of French (B2).
