Alexander has 21 years of legal experience. He has worked both in private practice, including as Acting Head of Practice at Goltsblat BLP, and as in-house counsel, serving as Legal Director for Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey at Kimberly-Clark. From 2018 to 2022, he participated in a blockchain project developing an SSI (Self-Sovereign Identity) platform for personal data management, where he served as lead legal counsel on data protection matters.
Alexander is a frequent speaker on personal data protection and artificial intelligence and has experience in legislative and regulatory work. He has received a certificate of recognition from the Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia. He holds CIPP/E and CIPM certifications.
Currently, as a Partner at Privacy Advocates, Alexander advises major Russian and international companies on personal data protection, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. He assists clients in bringing their processes into compliance with Russian and foreign legislation in these areas and in establishing effective engagement with regulatory authorities.
