Applications for the Scholarship Programme are open
The ICLRC is opening applications for the Scholarship for Young International Law Researchers.
The programme aims to support and encourage young professionals engaged in original research in international law. Scholarship recipients work on research in international law in thematic areas determined by the ICLRC, with mandatory visits to the ICLRC Library and subsequent presentation of the results of their participation in the programme.
The Scholarship may be granted to a researcher under 35 years old with a completed higher legal education of at least a specialist or master's degree (as of 24 September 2025). The Scholarship may also be awarded to a master's student who has demonstrated a deep interest in researching international law issues and sufficient competencies to prepare a high-quality research.
Participation in the Scholarship programme is open to all, regardless of citizenship or place of residence, provided that the requirement to visit the ICLRC Library (at least 25% of the time spent in the programme) is met.
The Scholarship amount is 60,000 roubles per month (after taxes and fees). The Scholarship is awarded for a period of 3 to 6 months with the possibility of a one-time extension of no more than 3 months.
Applications will be accepted until 24 November 2025.
