Climate Bulletin. Issue 39 (in Russian)
In the 39th issue of the Climate Bulletin, the authors discuss the relaunch of the Net Zero Asset Managers Initiative, the development of the “nature units” concept, urban traffic restrictions, the prospects for geothermal energy, as well as notes on sustainable finance (including green debt issuances and instruments linked to carbon units under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement).
This issue also features an article by ICLRC researcher Alexey Nikitin, “On the challenges of holding states internationally responsible for climate change”.
The Climate Bulletin is a collection of analytical articles on sustainable development. It is prepared by the team of Gazprombank’s Center for the Implementation of Sustainable Development Principles with contributions from authors of the International and Comparative Law Research Center and invited experts.

Before joining the ICLRC’s team in February 2025, Alexey worked at a Russian embassy to one of the South American countries as well as at the Presidential Executive Office. As part of the Russian delegation, Alexey took part in sessions of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC and the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution. In 2023, Alexey was recognized as an author of an “outstanding work” pursuant to the “International Law in the XXI Century” Award.
